Ridgeway’s Community School’s free community library welcomes visitors and patrons.
The library is located in the southwest corner of Ridgeway Community School and
has a separate entrance (on the west end of the school building) that allows
visitors to enter the library directly from the school’s accessible parking lot.
The Ridgeway Community Library has books, videos, and DVD selections for children and adults, as well as free high-speed internet service. The library is managed by the volunteer organization “Friends of the Ridgeway Community Library” which welcomes new members and volunteers. The library is a member of the Southeast Libraries Cooperating (SELCO), thereby allowing patrons to access books and media materials from 88 libraries throughout the 11-county Southeast Minnesota Region. Patrons can use their SELCO library cards from other SELCO libraries or get a SELCO library card for free. Patrons can drop off library books from other SELCO libraries in the drop box in the school's main entrance any time between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and they will be sent back to the loaning libraries.
NOTE: SELCO patrons need to have their cards throug a regular public library in order to be able to access the EBook collection. At this time those patrons with SELCO cards issued by a school are not able to access SELCO's EBooks collection.
