The Ridgeway Community School Board's October Board Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 28th at 5:30 p.m. in the Ridgeway Community School Cooper Classroom room.

Please click on this link to see a copy of the meeting agenda and the board packet on the RCS Board page of our website. Individuals who wish to address the board during the public comment period will need to be present at the school and share your thoughts in person. Individuals who would like to share their thoughts with the board members in writing may do so by sending them to the school office (office@ridgewayschool.org) who will forward them to the other board members, or by emailing all the board members individually

Elementary Art Teacher (PT)

Ridgeway Community School has an opening for a part-time elementary art teacher to teach six 30 minute visual art classes to elementary students twice per week.    Prep time will also be included in the position's schedule and is flexible.

 Licensure and Certification – Must hold a current Minnesota art or elementary education license.  Teachers are responsible to keep current the licenses and certifications necessary to fulfill the duties they have been assigned to perform. First Aid, CPR/AED are encouraged, but are not required for a teaching position. 

Criminal History Report – The school pays for the Criminal History report and it is required for all positions. No drug test is required but a drug policy is in place. 

Compensation:  Hourly position with total compensation dependent on additional responsibilities.
Employee Health Insurance –Ridgeway Community School currently does not offer a health insurance or medical plan to any of its employees. Employees working 30 hours a week or more during the school year are eligible for $3,000 cash in lieu of benefits per year. Allocation of the benefit will begin after a 60-calendar day period is completed. All employees are eligible to participate in a 125 tax deferred Flex plan. All employees may choose to select an employee-contribution AFLAC plan. 

Sick or Personal Paid Days – Employees of Ridgeway Community School working 20 or more hours per week during the school year are entitled to nine sick or personal paid days per year. An employee will become eligible for sick and personal paid days ninety days after their hire date.

Holiday Pay - Employees of the school working 20 or more hours a week for a full school year at the school receive six (6) paid holidays.

Retirement Plan:  Ridgeway Community School offers a ROTH IRA retirement plan that all employees may choose to participate in. The plan regulations follow all Federal rules. This plan is an employee contribution only plan; the school does not contribute to it.  As a public school all licensed personnel are required to contribute to the Teachers Retirement Association. This plan is a mandated employee and employer contribution based on the current rates allocated by the state.

Location: Ridgeway Community School is located between Winona, MN and Houston, MN on Winona County Rd 12. The school is 2 miles east of the Intersection of I-90 and MN Hwy 76 along the north frontage road; a half mile west of the village of Ridgeway, MN.
