![]() Winona ECFE Positive Parenting Class at Ridgeway Community School
5:30 – 6:00 p.m. Light supper and parent-child activities in the Ridgeway Preschool Classroomfor families with children from birth through elementary Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7:15 p.m. January 11, 18 & 25 and February 1, 8 & 15 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. Parent Education and Discussion Class and Childcare Parent Education and Discussion Class – Facilitated by Winona Parent Educator Lynnea Pfohl Parents meet in a separate space and share support, experiences and information about child development and positive parenting techniques, based on your needs. The focus areas for each class will be based on participant interest and will draw from research-based child development and parenting curricula including Conscious Discipline, Love and Logic and the Incredible Years and parenting books that support parents working to raise happy, responsible, respectful and resilient children while managing differing parenting styles, strong emotions, and sibling struggles, among other challenges. Childcare Activity Time – Children will be supervised by Ridgeway Community School childcare staff and will be provided opportunities for both large motor and small motor activities in the school’s gym. This class is FREE if this is your first Winona ECFE Class
Ridgeway parenting class registration can be done by calling the Winona Early Childhood Family Education office at 507-494-0913. If you have already taken a Winona ECFE class then there is a sliding scale fee. No family will be turned away due to inability to pay. The class fee is determined by your family income (see Winona ECFE website) and is per child with a family maximum. This class is open to all residents of the Winona School District.
