Ridgeway Community School is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the school’s part-time classroom music teacher. Additional hours teaching elementary band or orchestra instrument lessons to 4th and 5th grade students are also available for a total of approximately .6 FTE. The opportunity to teach private piano lessons after school hours is also available. Ridgeway has enjoyed, and desires to continue, a strong elementary music program. The students typically perform both a winter and spring concert as well as a song at the school's annual Grandparents Day and Veterans Day programs. The 4th and 5th-grade students have become proficient on band instruments such that they are able to participate in ensemble groups.
Ridgeway Community School is a free K-5 public charter school serving approximately 120 preschool to 5th-grade students. During the 2025-26 school year, Ridgeway Community School will be celebrating 25 years serving children and families in Southeast Minnesota.
