On Thursday, May 12th Ridgeway Community School, Minnesota Public Charter School District #4083, will hold its annual school board elections.  All parents and guardians of RCS Kindergarten to 5th grade students, all RCS staff members, and the RCS community representative on the board are eligible to vote for teacher, parent, and community representatives to the board.  Two weeks before the election we will be posting the names of individuals who have put their names forward for consideration for terms on the school board.  According to Minnesota State Law, to be considered a Parent Representative to the board an individual must be listed as a parent or legal guardian on a current Kindergarten to 5th grade Ridgeway student’s enrollment form.  Any licensed teacher employed by the school may run for a position as a teacher representative.  Write in candidates are allowed for all board positions.

Voting will take place between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the day of the election either by completing a paper ballot or by voting on the school website at www.ridgewayschool.org ; (the on-line election will also be open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).  Each parent or guardian is allowed to vote in the election.  See the Ridgeway Community School board member job description and obligations and responsibilities below.
